Barbara Widder-Lowry

Barbara Widder-Lowry is a retired apparel and retailing executive. Most recently she served as Senior Vice President of Product Development, Design, and Sourcing at Oshkosh B’Gosh. She joined Oshkosh B’Gosh in 1994, when the children’s apparel company she founded, Genuine Kids, was acquired by the firm. Genuine Kids designed, developed, and manufactured a complete line of children’s clothing and accessories. The company also operated more than 150 retail stores throughout the U.S. and Canada. Prior to Genuine Kids, Ms. Widder-Lowry served as a senior brand manager for Healthtex, Inc., then a division of the Chesebrough-Ponds consumer products company. She began her professional career in the executive training program at Carson, Pirie, Scott & Co. in Chicago. She also has taught several courses on international sourcing and supply chain management at the University of Wisconsin—Stout.

Ms. Widder-Lowry earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin—Madison. She has served as past president of The Paine Art Center, The Regional Domestic Abuse Center, and The Mercy Health Foundation. She and her husband, Paul, live in Madison, Wisconsin.
