Be on the Chair’s List with Engage in Econ Program 

By fulfilling all the requirements of the program, a student will be included in the Chair’s List for that semester. Students who receive this designation on the Chair’s List are leaders within the Department of Economics and receive an exciting list of benefits.

Engage in Econ Program

Program Benefits Find resources to create connections and build community to enhance your UW experience and network. Be recognized on the Chair’s List for that semester. The Dept. of Economics Chair’s List is similar in concept to the Dean's List, but instead of being GPA dependent it is leadership and involvement dependent, so no GPA standards are required! Program Requirements Students must accumulate a minimum of 4 Engage Credits each semester. Credits can be earned by participating in special community-building learning events and Economics-hosted programming. Credits are awarded each semester for completing some/all of the numbered items below: Maintaining membership in any Dept of Economics Students Organization or Group. Attending approved Economics department events (see econ.wisc.edu/chairslist/) Participating in LEAD@Econ and/or the ‘25 Undergraduate Research Symposium"

“How medieval cities regulated brokerage, why they got it right, and what it teaches us about modern online trading platforms” – A Talk by Prof. Quint

Professor Quint teaches many popular undergraduate classes. This is an exciting opportunity to hear from him about about historical and current events viewed through an economics lens.
