Kaitryn Olson

Kaitryn Olson holds a BS in Economics with a math emphasis and Environmental studies as well
as a MS in Agricultural and Applied Economics both from UW-Madison.
During her bachelors, Kaitryn was active in the service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega, Club
Hockey, and received a Leadership Certificate. Kaitryn graduated in 2021 from her bachelor’s
and then started her master’s in Agricultural and Applied Economics at UW Madison. During her
master’s Kaitryn participated in the Energy Analysis and Policy certificate program and worked
on research projects in heat pumps and wind energy.
Kaitryn now lives in Seattle, WA and currently works as an Associate Energy Resource Planning
Analyst at the utility, Puget Sound Energy. There, Kaitryn is working on integrated resource plans
to meet Washington’s clean energy implementation plan to be 100% renewable or zero carbon
electricity by 2045.
