R. Stephen Kouba

Steve Kouba is the Owner of Keyrenter Naperville, a residential property management company. An active real estate investor, he also owns and manages two real estate limited liability companies. Steve transitioned into real estate after a successful 26-year career in technology sales, where he held roles from inside sales to executive leadership at industry-leading companies, including IBM, SAP, Hitachi Vantara, Utopia Global, and Avaya. Both in his career and personally, Steve is driven by a strong desire to help others through mentorship and community-focused initiatives.

Steve’s passion for real estate began with a class he took from Professor Richard K. Green at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. What started as a side hustle in 1997 has since evolved into his full-time career, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and perseverance.

A proud alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science in 1995. He was a member of the Wisconsin Badgers football team from 1991 to 1994, a letterman, and a member of the renowned 1993 Rose Bowl team. He is also a member of The Bascom Hill Society.

Steve and his wife Michelle reside in the Chicagoland area with their two boys, RT and Stevie.
