INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
This week we have plenty of information, perspectives, and opportunities for you to learn about studying abroad through the International Academic Programs Office. As a quick reminder, any student can study abroad through the IAP office. The College of Engineering and Wisconsin School of Business have their own offices, students declared in those degrees can also study through IAP.
A great place to start is by checking out the Study Abroad 101 video series that helps you understand the bare bones of studying abroad- where to go, when to go, and how to get started. If you don’t have the chance to watch all the videos, you can also check out the Study Abroad at a Glance PDF.
For those students who really think that going abroad is for you, be sure to visit the Economics Major Advising Page to learn more. Talk to an IAP advisor first, and then come hang out with us to hammer out the details of programs, class selection, and timing. Schedule an appointment via Starfish!
You can also attend a Study Abroad Virtual Open House Date to explore your options with fellow students and staff. You’ll have a chance to learn about academics abroad, choosing a program, funding tips, and internship, research, and fieldwork opportunities! The live presentations will be followed by a Q&A session, so come with questions.
