Below is the standard course list and sequence for the MSQE program for those that graduate in three semesters. Please consult the Schedule of Classes, Public Class Search for course descriptions and instructor information.

- Economics 770: Data Analytics for Economists
Semester 2 (Spring)
- Economics 725: Machine Learning for Economics

For those that wish to graduate in four semesters, the core courses are typically taken during the semester indicated above, but the advanced electives are spread out further.
In addition to the core economics courses, students select nine elective credits. Eligible electives are courses numbered 300 or above and should be relevant to the economics degree.
