On Wednesday, March 11, UW-Madison Chancellor Rebecca Blank announced that campus classroom instruction will be suspended effective Monday, March 23. The Economics Department staff and faculty are working to deliver alternate instruction to students via online classes. In-person instruction is suspended until at least April 10. While campus offices will remain open, students should complete coursework online. For more information and to read the full message from the chancellor, please click here.
In light of increased concerns related to the spread of COVID-19, the Department of Economics has also cancelled all spring seminars (Labor, International, Public, IO, Macro, Econometrics, and Theory). Department events with more than 50 guests have also been cancelled through April 10.
