Scholarship Information

The scholarship application for all department scholarships is currently open through March 6th, 2017.

Thanks to our generous alumni, the Department of Economics can offer the following scholarships to deserving undergraduate students majoring in economics. More detailed information about each scholarship and the application forms can be found online at Scholarships@UW-Madison.

Ed Draminski Scholarship in Economics
Four $250 scholarships for economics majors with a Wisconsin residency and demonstrated financial need.

Everett Smith Scholarship in Economics
A $1,000 scholarship for continuing students majoring in economics in the College of Letters and Science

Gerald Konz Scholarship
A $2,000 scholarship for a Wisconsin resident who is a continuing student majoring in economics and with demonstrated financial need.

Mary Claire Phipps Scholarship in Economics
A two year scholarship for $5,000 per year. Offered to students majoring in economics in the College of Letters and Science and who will continue their undergraduate studies for two more years.

Meek Bishop Scholarship in Economics
Two $600 scholarships or one $1,200 scholarship for continuing students majoring in economics.

Lorraine A. and W. Dwight Stone Scholarship in Economics
Up to 15 scholarships for Minnesota or Iowa residents, ranging from $5,000-$15,000, majoring in economics in the College of Letters and Science and continuing undergraduate studies for one or more years.

Veldor Kopitzke Scholarship in Economics
A $1,000 scholarship for a continuing student majoring in economics with demonstrated financial need.

Grainger Scholarship in Economics
At least 5 scholarships of $2,000 each for students majoring in economics. 

Degenhart Family Scholarship in Economics
A $1,000 scholarship for a student majoring in economics.
