The UW Department of Economics offers three generous fall scholarships to students majoring in economics. Each has different criteria and submission dates. Please come back to this page to check for available, active calls for application.

2012 BP Scholarships in Economics
These scholarships are generously donated by British Petroleum.
Applications for four one-time scholarships in the amount of $1,250 each are being accepted online starting Friday, November 11 and ending Monday, November 21. These scholarships are for declared, continuing economics majors in the College of Letters and Scienceonly who have a 3.5 GPA overall as well as in Economics. You must have taken at least one of the intermediate Econ courses by the end of this term: Econ 301, 311, 302 or 312. Awards will be posted to your UW account toward any outstanding balance, including tuition due.

Margery Amundsen Scholarship
The Department of Economics is pleased to announce that we are now accepting online applications for the Margery Amundsen Scholarship, which will award $1,500 to a qualified, deserving student. Applications are submitted by filling out the forms available to qualified students online at Scholarships@UW. This information is all available through MyUW. Applications are being accepted for this fall scholarship now through November 14.
To qualify, you need to be a female with a declared major in economics. Both academic merit and financial need of applicants will be considered in making this award of $1,500, which will be applied toward your Spring 2012 tuition account.
